Report: Russia’s disconnection from SWIFT to be bad for everyone

MOSCOW, Dec 30 (PRIME) – Disconnection of Russia from interbank payment system SWIFT would cause great trouble for everyone, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel on Thursday.

“This, of course, can be done, but then we will all have to find the tools to deliver information about these transactions to each other. It is possible, of course, but it would be a big problem,” Siluanov said.

Russia is heavily involved in international trade and its disconnection from SWIFT will not be good for anyone, especially for the European states Russia actively trades with, the minister said.
